The Tim Tebow Phenomenon

Tim Tebow understands who he is, a child of God. He understands he is a son of God first, and a NFL quarterback secondly. He gives thanks and glory to God for everything good in his life. Unfortunately there are many “Christians” that don’t.
With the publicity of Tim’s faith, I pray that God will give more Christians the courage to stand together with Tim. I heard a Bible commentator ask the question “if you were accused of being a Christian, is there enough evidence to convict you?” That is the question all Christians need to ask of themselves. Yes, you will be mocked and criticized, Jesus told us to expect persecution.
2 Timothy 3:12 “Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.”  We desperately need a revival in this great country of ours. While we still have the freedom to do so, praying in public should be the norm in a Christian nation, not an event to be ridiculed. There is something fundamentally wrong with a society that celebrates public perversion and persecutes public profession of ones faith. Why don’t we see the outrage when NFL players get charged with DUI’s, illegal drug use (and trafficking), domestic abuse, and rape just to name a few. This country was founded on Judeo-Christian beliefs and values. Our laws are drafted to reflect the truths expressed in the Ten Commandments. I pray that all who are saved will be obedient to God and have the courage to do so publically!
The media purposely displays Tim praying on the sidelines to incite outrage. What they are unwittingly depicting is a perfect picture of an obedient son and a strong witness for Jesus Christ on national television for all to see. I believe that when Tim goes to heaven he will hear God say  “Well done, [thou] good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. Matt 25:21  What will God say to you?
If you haven’t accepted the gift of eternal life, I urge you to do so today. It’s free and it’s yours for the asking.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16  God Bless you Tim and thank you for your courage and conviction. May you win many hearts over to Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
